Position Your Startup on One Board

Founders: put positioning, proof, and launch tasks on a single visual board where every card is a Markdown file. No docs graveyard.

2 min read

Early-stage positioning dies in docs: a strategy doc nobody reopens, a launch checklist in another app, proof quotes scattered across email. Put it on one board instead — positioning you can see stays current because staleness is visible.

Frame the argument

Three section frames: Who it’s for, Why we win, Proof. Each claim is a card — one Markdown file each, so writing stays writing. Drag to reorder as the pitch sharpens; the layout is a JSON file, so even the arrangement is versioned if the folder is in Git. This is the whole format: no templates, no canvas consultants.

Connect claims to evidence

Link each positioning card to its proof with a labeled connector: “Lands copy → Positioning” labeled lands in, a customer quote card labeled proves, a competitor card labeled unlike. Backlinks in the inspector show every claim resting on evidence — and every claim resting on nothing. That second list is the entire value of the exercise.

Launch as tasks on the same surface

Tasks live in the cards as - [ ] ship landing page @due(2026-11-04), searchable across the whole folder. The launch plan sits next to the positioning it executes, not in a separate tracker you’ll stop opening. Full-text search over everything means the answer to “did we already decide this?” is one ⌘K away, offline, on the plane to the investor meeting.

The honest limits

Toxvas won’t replace your tracker once you have a team — no assignments, no real-time collaboration, no notifications. It’s the founder’s board for the period when the strategy still fits in one head: yours. And it’s Mac-only, one $9 payment, files you keep. When the company outgrows it, the Markdown comes along. Start the free trial, frame the three sections, and see which claims have no proof yet.

Try it on your own folder.

Toxvas is free for 7 days, no account. Every card becomes a Markdown file you keep.
